Would you *want* to pay in Bitcoin is more of the question here… If you purchased a $10 pizza with 1 whole Bitcoin in 2012, that pizza is worth (in 2017’s terms) now $15,000.  The idea behind bitcoin is to be used as a currency; however, with the unimaginable growth & fluxuation, could Bitcoin be better as an investment?  That’s something for you to decide.
